What is Open Badges 3.0?

The global standard (W3C / 1EdTech) for verifiable digital credentials. Every Meritag badge is a signed Verifiable Credential — readable by the whole ecosystem, not just by us.

How does offline verification work?

Each issuer can hand out a standalone verifier: a 33 KB HTML file with its public key sealed inside. It checks the badge's Ed25519 signature with no connection at all.

Where does my data live?

On infrastructure hosted in Quebec, with optional anchoring of proofs on IPFS and GitHub backup. You stay the owner of your content.

I'm coming from Credly or Certifier — migration?

Your existing badges can be re-issued as signed Open Badges 3.0. Write to us: we map the migration with you, batch by batch.

What if I want to cancel?

No hostages: your already-issued badges stay verifiable forever through the standalone verifier and the transparency log — even if you leave.
